Dear colleagues,
 I cordially welcome you to the 3rd International Anti-Aging Congress of the AntiAging & Aesthetic Medicine Society of Turkey to take place December 2-5, 2010 in the capital of Turkey, Ankara.
You are here to participate at the third edition of an annual scientific event, which contributes to the obvious efforts of the development, distribution and consolidation of high quality clinical and experimental knowledge in the fields of Preventive, Regenerative and Anti-Aging Medicine in Turkey. Several experts in these growing fields of medical specialization will help you to recognize the ways for translationable research and clinical methodology, such ones that offer the best chances to provide benefits for our patients in the near future. Preventive medicine, nutrition and aging, regenerative medicine and skin aging, vascular aging, diabetes, osteoporosis, neurodegeneration, pharmacology and cosmetics are only some of the major subjects, which are in the centre of our interest. Your efforts to keep our aging society as healthy as possible in order to maintain a high level of quality of life and to confront the upcoming demographic change will be enforced by the knowledge to accumulate in the next four days.
This congress will take place again under the auspices of the European Society of Preventive, Regenerative and Anti-Aging Medicine (ESAAM). ESAAM acts as an umbrella organization of all national European clinical and research associations for Preventive, Regenerative and Anti-Aging Medicine. It aims to maintain and intensify contacts between, and cooperation among, the clinical and research national and European associations for Preventive, Regenerative and Anti-Aging Medicine; to promote contacts with non-European Anti-Aging associations as well as to maintain and intensify contacts with other international medical societies.
The AntiAging & Aesthetic Medicine Society of Turkey is a young but very active member of ESAAM and, therefore, ESAAM is very glad to continuously support its activities. This AAAMS educational activity is in agreement with the aims of ESAAM to promote education in the fields of Preventive, Regenerative and Anti-Aging Medicine in Europe so as to achieve a European-wide standard which will rank above average in an international comparison. ESAAM also aims to support research in the fields of Preventive, Regenerative and Anti-Aging Medicine, to compile the findings gained in such research projects as well as to standardize and process them with the purpose of developing accepted methods of treatment. On the long term ESAAM wishes to provide for, and check, the continuing education of its members and to recognize therapeutic methods, to hold the ESAAM examination and, consequently, to award the ESAAM diploma to ensure a Europe-wide uniform elevated standard of training of physicians practicing Preventive, Regenerative and Anti-Aging Medicine, and in this connection, to award a title to medical doctors that will be recognized all over Europe to document their special training in the fields of Preventive, Regenerative and Anti-Aging Medicine.
As ESAAM President I want to thank AAAMS and its President Professor Çimen Karasu, who is parallelly Deputy Secretary General of ESAAM, responsible for scientific affairs, for organizing such high quality events. I am sure that the 3rd International Anti-Aging Congress of the AntiAging & Aesthetic Medicine Society of Turkey will become an unforgettable event to you, its participants!
